The Sony Models are LCD :yuk: (Pixel Dropout)

I prefer DLP, so my choice from your list is a Samsung.

    I have a Mits myself.

I've got the older version of that TV (50WE655). 50" LCD projection. I absolutely love it. It does good with regular-ass TV and HDTV looks superb. It's the only HDTV I've ever owned, so I don't have any experience with the others. I don't have any problem recommending it, though.

If you are gonna spend that much on a TV, why not just get a projector?

I would not get any of them you should go to sam's club or costco and get the vizio 50 plasma for $2200, it's brighter, has a 60000 hour life span and it uses panasonic guts(internals), also has image shift to prevent burn in and the kicker is it has two HDMI port's, also you wont have to worry about buying replacement bulb's every few years for dlp. Now don't get me wrong dlp has it's advantages but I own a 43inch hln dlp which I bought nearly a couple years ago, and after seeing that vizio I wished I would of waited.

I'd stay away from plasma myself. DLP has no screen burn in issues. Just an occasional bulb change. Rather change a bulb now and then then have to replace the whole tv cuz the screen is trashed.

Just bought a HD52HM84 (Got the 84, didn't need the digi tuner built in). I'm super happy with it so far. The picture cant be beat. I compared it with other DLP's before buying it, the pic on the Toshi always looked crisper than the others.

Yes but newer plasma have made great strides in longivety and screen burn in issues with image shift technology, and the picture is much brighter, heh man if you reread my post I own a dlp, and love it but that vizio plasma is the real deal

Are you on CRACK??? Who in there right mind would go to Sam's or Costco to buy a plasma??????

The Sony SXRD 50" is the best picture you can get!!!!! It's not an LCD, it's an LCOS!!!!

Stay away from Sharps, and Samsungs, and the Toshibas are nice but they have alot of trouble with blowing bulbs....
