gun show people....
if you're into going to gun shows keep an eye out for a stock to a marlin model 99 M1. I've searched the web and haven't been able to find one. I broke mine in half in a truck wreck years ago and you can't find the stocks to them. I made the stock out of a model 60 work but I sure would like to get it back to the way it's supposed to look. Gun belonged to my dad.

wow..... I did several different searches and never found that. I'd have to look and see if I still have the other parts but that one isn't complete. There's a top section missing and a band that goes around the barrel and top piece. I may have those somewhere but if I do I haven't even seen them in years.

I'd appreciate it....if you find one just get their name and number for me or see if they have an email address or website. I'd love to get this thing back to it's original condition. Dad bought it new in '63 and gave it to me in '86. I've shot a truck load of ammo through that thing over the years. Had it in the gun rack of my truck when I rolled it and it broke the stock in half. I made a model 60 stock work but it's not the same.

I'll stay on the lookout for you man. I'm always running across hard to find gun stuff. You might want to post up a WTB ad on a local outdoor forum as well

found a stock. I'm ordering it tomorrow. Used but an original and not a reproduction..... $37. I still have some other parts to order to get it back to looking original but that stock is the hardest part to find. I'll have to get the piece that goes on top of the barrel and the band that holds it all together plus a few screws but numrich carries all that stuff. Now I just gotta figure out why the damn thing jams so bad. I'll have twice the money into this thing getting it like new again versus just buying a new one but my dad bought this gun new in '63 and handed it down to me. I want it to be around to hand down to my son at some point.

got my stock in. It's scratched all to hell but no cracks. I still have to order the barrel piece for it and then I'll sand everything down and refinish it. I want to pick the right finish though to get it looking like it was when dad had it. Wish I had some pics of it when it was original so I could have something other than memory to go by. I'm going to dig on the web and see if I can find some pics that look like it used to so I have something to match the finish to.
