Great American cars of the past

You may not agree, but we just don't produce beautiful lines like this anymore.

Sharp looking cars, but they are nice partially because they are in the PAST. I think if auto manufacturers started cranking out designs that look like that now, the auto industry would be even worse. They are classic designs that carry their classicness cause they are old. And well obviously its completely impractical on an efficiency standpoint to produce 5,000lb sedans lol

The boats known as Challenger and Camaro aren't far from the 5k lb. mark.

both dodge dealers in the area have at least 5 of them a piece in stock too lol And yes I think both those cars are too heavy, although I do like the camaro a lot

I like the challenger moreso than the Camaro. But at this point, seeing the Camaros is like seein' an exotic. I point one out and oogle it. Once they become common place, like a Grand Am or something, then the neat-ness will wear off.

    I agree

one of my favorite cars from that era, maybe not American design, but American made was the 1954 Kaiser Darrin. it had pocket doors.

You could tell them all apart that's for sure.
Model to model and year to year they didn't all look alike.

I read somewhere once that the 1956 Chevrolet had more model and paint combinations than any car before or since. Something like 218 different choices.

Funny thing is, that all those cars were very futuristic and modern at the time...
