Got my digital camera today!!!!!

Its the Cannon power shot SD550. Digital ELPH. 2.5 in screen, picked up the 1 gig memory card. it will take me a month to learn all the funtions. I love it.

Oh man.... i have been reading and fuckin around with this thing for a couple hours and ahve found some cool stuff. You can zoom in on a picture you have taken ANYWHERE on the picture up to 12X and it doesnt get blurry at all as long as you took the picture in Optical zoom.. Im finding zits on people faces. lol. The Digital zoom that you can zoom in on during picture taking up to 12X and try all different sorts of shit to make it real lear. Nothing like the optical zoom but damn.!!. I love this thing. can take real nice video as well. Only complaint so far is its a little quite when playing video back. But other than that i love this camera.

Sweeeeet!! That 1 gig card will take a lot of vid of your girl bobbin the knob dude

I only have the 128mb and it takes like 6-7 min of vid...at a low res 640 though.

forget the "digital zoom." That's the same thing as enlarging the image in photoshop (blowing it up). Pixels can be reduced but not enlarged. They get really fuzzy and blurry the more you blow it up. that's why I laugh at shows like CSI, when they hit the "enhance" button to blowup blurry surviellance photos. You just can't do that.

I have a similar camera, the Canon Powershot A520. I think it's just fine. I have a 1GB card also and it's plenty big enough to hold lots of pics and vids.
