Good Guard Dog?
My sis' restaraunt (which is right behind me house) just got busted into for the second time in the last few months. This time by some 2 punk bitch 15-16 year olds. Now she's wanting to get a guard dog pup. She wants a German Sheperd or a Dobie, but i'm not sure if its a good idea. The restaurant is connected to a shop and she wants the dog to stay in there. With that, I'm thinking she might need a dog that will require a lil less attention than a GS or Dobie. Any ideas? My vote is for an alarm system and a gun, myself.

Yeah, alarm system would likely throw fewer red flags with the health dept. I don't imagine too many health inspectors are gonna be enthralled with the idea of a dog running around a food-service establishment, unattended, after-hours.

best go with an alarm system. like toby said, the health dept frown on animals in a restaurant.

The dog would be in the shop, not the restaraunt The punks broke thru the shop/garage door first then broke the door to get into the cafe. Its a weird place. It used to be an old car dealership. The shop is separate from the restaraunt/cafe. The cafe is where the old 'showroom' was. Its all just been converted.
But anyways, ya, I still thnk an alarm would be best.

Why not camp out and wait for the losers to come back. Then you can give out a free beat down.

I can't do it. I work 3rd shift, otherwise I would. With today's justice system tho, if i beat the shit out of some minors, I'd be the one getting my ass in a sling even tho they were the one's B&E'ing

I think they are called Dog De Corso? They say they are mean as hell and very territorial. I had 3 Doby's and they are great dogs and very smart but the females are the best for guard duty my male was a pussy! The 2 females would tear you a new one? Hell just post up signs that say beware of dog who will ever know? And you won't have to feed it? Good luck man that still sucks for your sister!

i have 4 labs and NOBODY comes in my house without 1 of us there--they are not mean dogs but they will meet you at the door ready for what ever they need to do---i like that you just speak to them and they calm down--a 90 # lab standing up lookin you in the eye will get your attention

If she were to get herself a GS, she should get a ret'd police dog. Unfortunately she would have to learn to speak German to give commands.
