    GM Carlisle Pics

The GM show at Carlisle was, in a word -- HOT! We had to head to shaded areas of the fairgrounds a few times to cool off. It appears that the show was very well attended by the number of cars on the showfield. I seriously think that every 2010 Camaro from the east coast was present and accounted for. Saw some beautiful cars and trucks and met a few nice people as well. No fellow LS1.com'ers though... once again, meeting up with anyone from the site just didn't happen. We need to work on this for next year. We'll start with the F-bodies, our car on the left in the first pic (early this morning, so cars were still rolling in):

The Kevin Morgan Concept Trans Am just looks incredible in person. Jaison did a great job on the emblems:

Can't forget the GTO and GPX's either -- lots of great examples to look at with some nasty F.I. cars tooling into the fairgrounds during the morning.

    Some other miscellaneous shots:

And of course, the "WTF?!" entrant at the show:

Looks like a lot of nice cars. Not too many F-bodies in car shows around here in WI.

    Sadly now demodded :(

Everything looks great except (reference the pic of the 69 and 68 Camaro):

Dear God WHY! Oh why, would anybody in their right mind put a Z28 emblem on a 1st gen CONVERTIBLE!!!!!!! And a 69 emblem on a 68 at that!!!!

    OOOOHHHHMMMMMMM! OOOOOHHHhhhhhmmmmm! Ooooooohhhhmmmm!

OK. All better now. But being a 1st gen freak, I've gotta say that is the most absurd thing to do. It's as bad as adding fake gunshot holes.

That is unless you were the head of Chevy (Pete Estes) back in the day and had 1 made like that as your personal ride. True story, there is a 1 of 1 68 Z28 that they made that is a vert. It wasn't supposed to get into the general public (it was to be destroyed after it was turned in) but it did.

My father and I were there today. Was super hot but the cars made up for the heat. I saw pretty much every single one of those cars that you took pics of, the pics just don't do them justice. Tons of very nice cars at that show. We will be at the Ford, Corvette, and Truck Nationals as well.

Of course, you'll forgive me for not even noticing this. I was just taking pictures of cool looking cars.

That would be our car in the pic to the right. Talked to him this morning and thought I recognized the car, but did not ask.

Awww, you've got to kidding me.....How did I miss that? I'm pretty sure I saw your car too, I saw the super bright blue LT1 T/A with the big "UMI Performance" sticker on the front windsheild, and then I kind of glanced at a Black WS6 right next to it, and judging from the pics and comparing them to what I saw today at the show, I'm thinking it was maybe your car next to that Blue LT1 T/A. But I had to keep moving due to my little brother whining about using the bathroom and being hungry/hot. I'm SUPER pissed I didn't get to conversate with you for a second though.

But thats just how it works when you have a big baby for a brother

Anybody see the black LT1 Formula with the widened WS6 rims? Whoever did it, did a great job. That car was sweet!

That was me. We went down to where you were at, but the line was kind of long. Waited for a few minutes and then went on our way. I'll catch up with you at the Fall show.

Do you know anything about that car? Like if it was green with white leather interior, and a white top? If that's the case, I know the guy who was the 3rd (i think 3rd) owner of that car. I went to his house and it was in his garage, and he told us something like that (being only 1 of 1). I saw it. It was gorgeous. He told me and a friend of mine (he build the motor for my friends Camaro), that he sold it not too long after we saw it for somewhere over $900,000.
