German Shepherd saves newborn

Something to warm your heart.

A 68-year-old British man was walking his dog in a Birmingham park last week when the German shepherd suddenly ran over to the bushes and refused to return. Owner Roger Wilday walked over to find her lying down next to what looked like trash ... but as he got closer, he realized it was actually a newborn infant. "I saw it move," Wilday tells the Birmingham Mail. "I thought it was a bag of kittens, but then I saw her little arms and a head, and the baby started to cry."

Birmingham is such a sh*t hole...im glad the dog found the kid, but I cannot stand people who abandon kids or animals........

KR I agree with that mostly, however there are a few exceptions to certain breeds. Most of "bad" dogs comes from bad treatment from humans, while a few are predisposed to having "short" "aggressive" temperament.

For the most part I trust a dog over cats any day of the week.

I happen to prefer cats myself but one of my friends has a female Pom. They (he and his wife) also have 2 greyhounds (hers) and a ginormous 1 yo male GS (~120 lbs) named Rommel (joint ownership). She rules the roost at their house though. She's definitely the pack leader...

Their cat pretty much says FU to the dogs...

Funny story about my cat...I've got a cat named Roscoe...he's EXTREMELY laid back. He's also big and muscular...so if he wanted to, he could be an absolute badass. Anyway...my mom and dad came over to our house last week and my mom dropped some food on the floor "no big deal" well...she brought her little dog with her that apparently gets vicious when food is around...her dog attacked my dog "miniature schnauzer" as soon as he got around the food that hit the floor. In the blink of an eye...our cat came running down the hall and practically body slammed my moms dog and walked out of the room like nothing happened...my dog terrorizes our cat, but he made it very apparent that he LETS my dog terrorize him...it was a milo and otis moment if I've ever seen one...
