Former Terminator owners, which handles better LS1 or Terminator?
I love LS1s and actually i am thinking of buying one in the spring and i have driven 3 different LS1s one including a 02 WS6 and IMO a cobra handles better than an LS1 fbody. but I would like to hear from you guys because some LS1 owners claims than a cobra would get eat by an LS1 fbody on a roadcourse. Now i dont say LS1s handles bad. hell yeah they do but not as good as an IRS cobra which was originally built for road racing.
I would especially like to hear this from former terminator owners who owns a LS1 now.

black- 98 camaro
i have had both, stock vs stock cobra is better, i had my cobra handling better than my 01 zo6 but it took about an extra 3 grand and a cage,i havent done a lot to the camaro yet but it feels alright for mostly drag stuff done to it.cobra stuff is a lot cheaper do to the volume of them being modded and parts availability.

Light Pewter Metallic- y2k 8-cylinder catfish
Mustangs and Vettes have IRS. Of course they're going to handle better, stock, on a roadcourse.

You mean the cobras (99-01 and 03-04) have IRS. Regular mustangs have a soild rear axle.
And yea IRS handles better but if your looking for straight drag racing or something you would want to have a soild rear I think.

I wasnt calling the 99-01 cobras the terminators but from 99 and up they had the IRS. With or without the blower it handled pretty well.

Yea every cobra from 96+ had a DOHC 4.6 281 4V motor and same for the 03-04 Mach1. Only difference between em all is the 03-04 cobra had a blower

and a really well built bottom end and iron block. ie manley h beam rods, shot peened forged crank, forged pistons.
Those n/a 4 valve motors had aluminum blocks and split fractured powder rods, hypereutectic pistons etc. mach 1's had the same heads and cams that the 03/04 cobra engines had though.
