    Food for thought

How come the SS Camaros and the Ws6 T/A's are numbered, but not the Z28 or the T/A?

Because SLP numbered them when they brought them in. SLP didn't touch the normal Z28 or T/A so they didn't number them

    now hang on a second.

i was under the impression that there were SLP SS Camaro's and also non-SLP SS Camaro's. i keep seein on here "i've got an SLP SS" and stuff like that or simply "i've got an SS." are there two variants or are they all modded by SLP?

All SS models were done by SLP. However, some only came with the hood and wing. The SLP SS came with SLP lid and some suspension upgrades.

I thought the SLP took Z28's and TA's and did the conversion?

No matter, they still should all be numbered IMO.

You can call SLP and they can give you the number. You need your VIN.

so then not all SS's are "all that great" so to speak? some just have a spoiler, rims, and hood while others have all the extra goodies? what is the reason for that?

Wrong. There is no such thing as an SLP SS. All SS's were altered by SLP and to how much they were altered does not signify them as an SLP SS.
