    Fire in South Lake Tahoe

    I just got back from work, the fire started about 1 mile from the gas station that I work at. Fortunately for me the wind is blowing in different direction. Three of my co-workers lost their houses. CHP came all the way from Sacramento to help, fire departments from all around the area are here. Firetrucks, halicopters, planes. The worst thing is the wind, it spreads the fire uncontrollably.

    This shiat is crazy, so far 65 houses burnt. And I mean burnt, I saw some local news, there are just chimneys left

    Yeah, the fire is really crazy over there. That's one of my favorite dive spots to take new divers to. Beautiful lake man!!

    last number I heard was 220 homes burnt
    today the richest neigbourhood in tahoe almost got burnt after the backdraft - "controlled burn" - got out of hand
