F'in Xbox 360

GOD DAMN PEICE OF SHIT

I am on my second 360 and I go to play some forza today and it starts freezing up. So I just turn it off and turn it back on. Well it does this several times and finally gives me the 3 red lights. So since I've been through this before I unplug everything and plug it back in and it starts right up. But don't worry it freezes up again so I turn it off and back on and the 3 red lights again. I'm going to raise hell this time this is just fucking ridiculous. My first one lasted about 6 months then this one has last just over a year about 14 months. I'm about ready to ask microsoft just to give me my $400 back so I can go buy a PS3.

A guy I work with is on this 4th. They run very hot and aren't cooled well.

I haven't bought a game system since the Super NES and I'm happy just playing the older systems. The games from those days are more fun.

haha old games are fun in the novelty sense that you're playing an older game, but they suck compared to new games

"Suck" is all relative. I've got games from the early 80's that I still play. The recent games that I own bore me to tears after playing them a few times. I need content, not just flashy graphics and sound!

They put a lot more thought and creativity into games back then. Many of them are amazing considering the technology that they ran on.

Same goes for music videos...They kicked ass when MTV was in it's early days. Today they all SUCK.

you can try the towel trick or use a heat gun. Basically what this does is over heat the unit enough to remelt the solder joints on the cpu/gpu and it makes contact again. sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. If you can get it to work again with the trick i highly suggest that you don't play it untill you take it apart and upgrade the fans/add heat sinks cause it will do it again if you don't do this.

i like older games as well. i'm pissed at myself for sellin my SNES to a band of roaming mexican workers.

mine is too but the over heating issue is still real and should be fixed.

The overheating issue is as fixed as it will get, do you have a cooler for it, and is it in a open area, i have had mine since the second day they came out, and i havent had any problems at all with mine.

Take a pic of where you have the system...that'll say a lot about why it's overheating. I had a launch system and never had a problem with it, but I also had it set vertically on it's own shelf with like an easy 2 feet of clearance all around. I sold it on ebay a few months ago and as far as i know it's still tickin..

my 360 scratched the shit out of my madden 06. It also makes some weird sounds when loading a game. Other than that, ive had it for a good 14 months and it still runs ok
