2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Damn, I was looking forward to them going down in price enough for me to get my 98 GTS in about 5-10 years....now they'll skyrocket like the Supra and Skylines did...

It amazes me that a Z06 Vette can average upwards of 20mpg, while the V10 Viper they spent so much money designing gets like 10... of course, Chrysler's never been too good with the whole gas mileage thing..

Well, having 488-505 cubic inches really doesn't help the gas mileage any, but according to that article, it averages about 16, not 10.

Chrysler products fuel mileage across the board has always been worse then GM and Ford. You are correct sir.
The Viper is a really great car and american icon at this point. I hope if Chrysler stops making it, they just can it altogether because I'd hate to see an asian company buy it as this article suggests is a possibility. But on a business standpoint and the financial shape Chrysler is in, it makes sense why they would stop making the car. If our economy was better and people had more money for an 80k+ toy, then things would be different. But then again the rich will always be rich right? I dunno, kinda sucks, kinda makes sense.

Bob Nardelli is their CEO, if anyone can screw up a company, it's him.

Eh, just kind of a jerk. A wealthy jerk, but a jerk none-the-less. Someone wrote an article on him, search for Bob Nardelli jerk on google or something.
I worked at the home depot when he took over. It went from being a really decent place to work and shop to being a really REALLY crappy place to work and a not so great place to shop.
I worked there for 4 years. I would take a whooooole lot of money to get me to work for a company that he was heading up.

Bright Red- 1999 Trans Am Ws6
Man, the 1992 Viper is fucking hideous.
As to dodge saying goodbye to vipers, I've been saying goodbye to them in my rearview mirror for years

The Supra-Viper? (Like Celica-Supra, that's what my 88 was) The Viper-Supra? The Vipra?
Toyota would be the only ones I'd buy it from...and it would have to be some kind of combination of the two to get me even looking.
Whoever gets it(if anyone), I hope they don't just slap a name on an existing design...(GTO=Commodore) Don't get me wrong, GTO's are great, but they could have went with an original design, the name deserves that much...
