The Z28 sure........the C7ZR1......well that's pretty much as exotic super car at this point....hell at that point might as well mclaren, porsches etc......

Neither the Z28 or ZR1 will be better/faster than the Demon doing what it was designed for which is a straight line quarter mile.

No. You can get a ZL1 that’s still stupid fast in a straight line, but way better than a demon at everything else. And it’s cheaper. Demon is the best factory drag racer though.

It will be tough as I'm sure it took a couple of days with a few different cars/drivers just making pass after pass after pass at a strip that's at sea level when it was 50* outside.

How you rate when compared to the COPA's? They are GM's version of a factory drag racer, aren't they?

I guess because they can't be sold as "street legal" and are fully custom they really can't be considered a production.

The Copos, Cobrajets, and Mopar factory racers don’t have VINs. Sparse interiors, chutes, etc etc. they’re not really street cars at all anymore.

yep they are not production street cars that can be bought and driven to work, mall etc........so no they are not in the disscusion.......

ET sure but there shouldn't be 15+ mph difference. Or have all the tests I've seen so far been lacking the red key?

I still think it's the fact that most of the people buying this car have very little experience on a drag strip with a tree. I would doubt that we ever see a 9.6x time slip from a stock one, but I think 9.8's and 9.9's will become normal by the middle of the race season.

As for the MPH claims, maybe it's only fat people who have being racing the cars so far. Or maybe Dodge did it on a day where the wind was at the back of the car going down the strip and blowing 35mph. That would also justify the 9.65 E.T.

Car and Driver estimated the E.T.'s being 9.9-10.2.
