I still stand by my argument that the Yenko is still same category as the Demon in regards to factory produced.
Stand by it all day if you want. You’re still wrong. Nobody is talking about it because it’s just another dealer add on package. When GM kicks a 1000hp camaro out of their factory it will be news.

In any event, the best factory production muscle car, IMO, comes down to two vehicles. The 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1, and the 1970 Hemi Cuda. I'll lean toward the GSX just because they are very rarely seen.

Yes, but there are far more Cuda's that come up for sale then Stage 1's.

Heck... no one is going to be able to afford the insurance. If you have a perfect record and all discount it will still be $500 a month to insure I expect.... If you have a ticket well .... double that.

I can afford the car... But, I do not want to pay the insurance... LOL
Your right they can but, do they really want to. It isn't like a Ferrari that you expect to cost you $3K a month to own. It's a Dodge !!!

I can afford a C7 Z06 and the insurance is only $700 a year. Big difference. Just a forewarning for us lusting after such a car in Mid-High income bracket. If in Upper +200K a year you would be OK if your house payment was average. Then that is all you would have. It just doesn't seem to make since financially.

I have always seen Dodge as a Blue Collar Car. Why would you buy one over a Vette for example.

If you want a fast car I have a 67 Camaro for 25K that will do 10's. And it is so much cooler and easier to work on. I will have to say the Dodge might burn a little less gas on the street (5mpg). However, $100K buys you a lot of gas and entry fees. Oh and the insurance is $250 a year on a 25K Stated Value.

Just saying a Vette and Race Camaro is a better way to spend $125K

Just happy with my choice I guess.

It's all about marketing. The stuff that's in these cars will trickle down one way or another to the lower cars. It always does.

Hell I saw an ad for a Kia having Brembo brakes.

The new Kia Stinger GT makes 365hp and does 0-60 in 4.7. All for around $35k. A really nice looking car.

I still think Dodge knocked one out of the park with the way they slowly unveiled it with secret videos and such. Having a 9 second factory built, street legal drag car with a warranty is cool. I personally don't think $90k is a terrible price at all. Sure you can have a debate about a better car for $90k, and you can build a faster car for that price, but there is no argument about which factory street legal car is quickest in the 1/4.

In addressing the collector car policies, I don't how you guys come up with these crazy low amounts. I've called multiple collector car insurance companies on a few different cars. An 02 SS and a 1993 454 SS Silverado, and they have been almost double what Geico quotes.

You have to have them quote you 3000 miles or less and stated Value. If your stated value is 50K then you might be looking at $500-750 a year. If you state you drive 20K miles a year then you are right it doesn't work. Plus Silverado would not work in their system. But the SS's should be fairly cheap. Message me and I can give you a couple of companies to consider....

I saw that Stinger too. My 370Z does those numbers for less and looks better imo.
Interestingly enough 370Z is only $505 a year. I have no tickets or accidents however and I am not 25 years old... I do get all the discounts too.

I remember the old Dodge Demon. It was one of the high school cars we used to hate. It was slow and ugly. But, this one with a 426Hemi and a Blower I would own:

My wife said last night that she likes the 370Z, surprised me cause she's not a fan of low riding cars. She thinks my bird is too low.

My girl thinks the 370Z is sex on wheels but, she loves her WS6.
You toss around the Z. The WS6 is a monster. Two different but fun rides.

If a COPO does become a street option I can see why GM has done what it's done with the 5th and 6th Gens in order to keep ppl interested in it.

They've been super cautious when introducing new models.

    5th Gen -
    2010-11 V6 and SS versions
    2011 - Introduced the Vert's
    2012 - Introduced the ZL1 & COPO
    2014 - Introduced the Z28

I bet they give the COPO option before a redesign comes out in 2021.
