im looking at buying an SUV (jeep) but it has a salvaged tittle im in cali and its registered in oregon,
i heard by many people but i dnt knw if its true.
if a car has a salvaged tittle and then its registered on a different state the salvage tittle desapears?
it still shows it had a salvaged tittle but when is registered on another state it will have a clean tittle..

i can't remember how but there is a way that you can basically launder a cars title if it has been salvaged and make it come out clean...although it's not exactly fully legal or legit. i know of one dealer in my area that has been doing it for years.

I heard bout that.
I'm not sure but to make it clean tittle the car has to be fixed at the dealership and use original parts.
Then after some inspections it will become clean tittle.
But I dnt think is worth it. Dealearships charge to much.

In some states, I have heard you can have a salvage-titled car changed after it's repaired, but it takes a SIGNIFICANT amount of documentation of repairs (pictures before/after) and parts logs, and there's still no guarantee the state will agree to remove the salvage.
Not worth it, IMO. If you're cool with it being salvaged and aren't planning to sell it for much down the road, just buy the vehicle anyway.
I believe you can still drive a vehicle on public roads that has a salvage title.

The jeep had a minor damaged. It's Ben fixed already. The aligment is good. The paint looks good.
And I Dnt think the price is too bad.
It an 04 grand Cherokee limited. 80xxx miles on it for $5500
I just want it for off road, 33s tires and lift.
So I dnt think the salvage tittle should be a problm

Agreed. For an off-road beater, you probably can't go wrong.
I'd have a GOOD repair shop check it out, and report on the quality of the repairs before you agree to purchase it. It will cost some $$$, but will give you piece of mind that the repairs were sound and you're not going to have problems down the (off-)road.

Is it salvage? Or rebuilt? (Or maybe that's only an Indiana thing) A wrecked car is salvaged until it's repaired and becomes rebuilt. A rebuilt title is just like a regular title except it shows "rebuilt" on the title.

When the guy bought it he took it to the shop for inspection. I told him I want to do that too he's okay with that.
We will take it to sears so they can check everithing.
It's a salvaged tittle.
Once is paid off by the insurance company it's salvaged. It could be fixed. But still shows it's a salvaged tittle.
If it had a big damage. Or fire it says salvaged but you can't registered in Cali no more.
My GF said her dad used to take the cars to UTAH to register salvage tittle cars. And after that the car had clean tittle. I dnt knw if that's true
