Mystic Teal- 99 Trans Am & 01 CBR 929
Did front and rear sprocket change today and
WOW!! What a torque difference. It is nearly impossible to keep the front tire down in first gear now on my 929RR. I did 2 down in the front which is the smallest you can go and 2 up in the back and this setup allowed me to keep my stock chain just had to adjust the tension a little. First time ever really working on a bike and it only took me a little under an hour and thats doing it very dangerously and without a bike jack or stand. Instead of costing me 100$ at a shop it only cost me 40$ worth of large metric sockets that I get to keep forever so I think I made out ok, just need a speedo healer now cause its mroe than just a lil off. Here are some pics of it apart.
Did the whole thing myself which was a little bit of a pain at times but im happy to say that I did it. Only hard part was getting the rear wheel back on.

That a FireBlade, or did the Blade stop when the 900RR changed to the 929RR? Those bikes, IMO are pretty light. Those and Ducatis anyway,

I remember when I went to the NY bike show back in 99. Saw a FB and HAD to sit on it to see how light it was. Hopped on and kicked the stand out. Rocked back and forth and the bike, to me, felt like a moped. Then I asked myself:
"Now combine the light weight of this bike with a nasty motor...YEAH BABAY!!!"
My hs buddy used to talk about FBs and I wanted to see one for myself up close and personal. The bike I sat on was black/yellow. Felt lighter than a Ninja ZX11. But that's just me.

oh yeah.. its a bad bike man especially for being an 01. All I have right now is a pipe and now the sprockets. With just the pipe my buddy had a hell of a time pullin on me in his 08 CBR1000RR. He wont out accel me anymore with the sprockets but he has a mean ass top end that I sacrificed. I can still do over 150mph and thats enough for me. Next I just wanna do the power commander and have it dyno tuned. I would do full exhaust but its too expensive and I would be giving up torque aka: wheelie power
