Dell cuts 200 jobs in Roseburg, Oregon Call Center

Sucks... my best friend's sister worked at this Dell and was given her pink slip. Imagine coming to work, only to be told to pack up your things and get out within 30 minutes.

I remember when my mother bought a Dell. it took them 3 months to get it ready adn send it to us. back then, 3 months basically is enough time for your computer to go down like 10% in value bceause it's outdated. i guess that's how they make their money, take your money now, wait 3 months and then make your computer when the price of the parts goes down by 10%. and the keyboard had a key that didnt work, i think it was a refurb!!!! bastards.
your sister can know she's being replaced by some guys in India making $3/hr

My co-workers' mom and sister worked at that location... only the sister got the "axe" though, the mom was offered a chance to relocate to Texas.

nice...now instead of 200 people i could understand i will end up with 2,000 people all either named haji or samir that can't pronounce my last name.

I worked at a AOL call center in oklahoma city, which was the worst job anyone could ever have, and i quit because i hate customers and then a few months later they closed the whole dadgum place, 900 people laid off. Then half of those idiots got jobs at the Dell sales and call center here that just opened, they will be laid off within a few years. People that work at call centers usually have no life anyways
