    day 1 starts tomorrow

im starting the complete rebuild of my 2000 z28. paint and body work starts tomorrow. i will post up play by play pics as i get them.

i just bought a 6.0l out of a wrecked gto that is gonna be supercharged, that will be dropped in hopefully by the begining of 09 after all the body and suspension work are done.

it has an automatic tranny and 3:42s. should i change the gear ratio? if so what should i change it to? i want to keep it as my every day driver and be able to put it on the track and be in the 11s. my every day driver consist of a 4 mile comute to my shop and back home.

wish me luck. day 1 starts tomorrow.

I dunno, a supercharged LS2? He might have more luck hookin up with the 3.42s...

I'm not exactly the one to ask on these matters though...

i have been checking around about putting the supercharger on. and some are telling me that the hood wont shut. i am putting an ultra z hood on. have any of you ever heard that? and also been talking to a buddy about going with a turbo. what do you guys think?

I also heard about the supercharger thing and it should work with the stock hood, as long as you use a centripical blower. You might have problems with the roots style.
Turbos wont mess with the room so you would be fine.
As for the ultra Z hood. I am not a huge fan, I like the cowl hoods the best.

when building a car like this you wouldnt want to sacrifice on gear ratio to hook up man i was actually shooting low i would do 4.10's

if you cant hook get some better tires and suspension mods

you think i could hook better with 4:10 even though it is an automatic? what kind a suspension would you reccomend? i plan on changing everything out anyway.

i have decided to go with the turbo instead of supercharger.

if you're supercharing stay with 3:42 rear gear... any higher and you won't have much fun on the street... you'll just spin tire... high - mid 11's shoudn't be any problem non supercharged... with the SC you should be in the 10's...

my dad has a lingenfelter vette... he put 3:93's in the ass end and he had no traction... he went down to 3:73 and still breaks a 345 tire loose @80mph in 3rd gear just by stomping on the gas...
