yeah, just a little blue gill. When she pulled it up out of the water she got slapped in the face with it so after that she kept 1 eye on it at all times.

Haha. That's just adorable! Congrats man. Now you just need to teach her how to bait her own hook....

she would do it no problem..... I just don't feel like digging a hook out of her at this point. I put the worms in the backseat with her and Zach so they could look at them on the way there.....they had worms all over the place before it was over with.haha She's not the least bit scared of them. Just the opposite.

Give a child a fish, feed a child for a day; teach a child to fish, feed them for a lifetime

actually I think the saying goes like this:
Give a child a fish, feed a child for a day; teach a child to fish, spend the next few years getting their line untangled from tree's, stumps, rocks, weeds, themselves and anything near them. Also, spend the next few years baiting hooks, pulling hooks out of your own body, spending more time out of the water than in, and mastering the art of patience.

Yeah. That is definitely true. Hell, even the best of us "adult" fishermen get tangled up once in a while...especially when you say to yourself....eww, that tree overhanging the bank...there has to be a fish under there...and you cast and wham...next thing you're trying to real in a tree squirrel.
