wait...was that commissioner gordon hooked up to oxygen on the gurney? i couldn't entirely tell...it looked kinda like him but not really at the same time.

i'm not too big on bane...and i hate the catwoman/selina kyle idea. i still say that the perfect villain combo would have been harley quinn and wrath. but i'm willing to give it a shot. i don't think anybody ever expected ra's al ghul and scarecrow to be as good of big screen villains as they turned out to be in batman begins...but nolan was able to pull it off. perhaps he'll pull something amazing out of his magic hat and make catwoman respectable again and even make bane watchable as a villain.

Yes, that's Gordon in the hospital. It'll be interesting to find out what happened to him. And I have faith Nolan's going to pull this one off as well or better than Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

My guess is that since Batman disappeared at the end of The Dark Knight, that Bane hospitalized Gordon to draw him back out. Bane feels he needs to not just beat Batman, but humble and humiliate him.

The recent animated series, The Batman, had a very good take on Bane.

And find an episode of Superman:The Animated Series called "Knight Time". It's a good one.

What everyone needs to realize is Nolan has taken this story to a different and far better level over the shit Joel Schumacher directed in an effort to sell toys. This will probably be nothing like the dumb as a rock Bane in Batman and Robin. And Tom Hardy (who plays Bane) is a young but talented and very well respected actor. Christian Bale was supposedly stated as saying he would never do a Batman movie if there was a Robin character in it. I expect to be just as impressed with this movie as I have been with his first two.

Excuse my ignorance, but who is Bane? I have watched all these movies, but I guess names of charactersescape me sometimes. And Christian Bale decided to stay on for this movie?

Bane only appeared in one movie so far (and the WORST one at that) and he didn't even speak, just grunted.

Bane is a villain who has super-human strength when he injects himself with a venom concoction.

Anne Hatheway? What? I love her, but shes not a dark and creepy character in anything, or even sexual, and these Nolan Batman movies are dark and creepy. This shall be interesting.

I agree in thinking she's not right for the part, but maybe we'll be surprised. She's a pretty woman, but she doesn't have that sultry look about her that's always been a big part of the Catwoman character. I personally would have liked to see someone like Jessica Biel (who tried out for the part) or Kate Beckinsale fill the role. Michelle Pfeiffer played the character very well in the Tim Burton movie.

Jessica or Kate would have been awesome. Guess they seen something in Anne to get this part. Maybe we will get more clues when a fuller trailer is released.
