Dang it's cold

So far NY is on pace for the snowiest winter on record and presently there are areas of NY where the temp is -36 F with wind chills bringing it down to -50 F

Thankfully my proximity to the water has me facing more moderate chills. low teen temps and single digit chills. Yet I'm still not wearing a hat, scarf or gloves.... i must be out of my mind.

This cold has me missing my car more and more. In fact... i haven't even SEEN my car in over a month!!! it's got a battery tender so it's not going to die on me. I need to set up a detailing appointment though because i want to just get it and go once the weather get nice up here. Of course the whole reason it's garaged is to avoid the nasty NY winter and harsh road salt. so it won't even make it to a detailer till the roads are nice and black again.

I refuse to have another marathon detailing session in 2011. I took the car out on may 1 2010 and spent a whole day, morning till night. washing, claying, polishing and waxing the car for the mustang cruise on may2. This year... i'm paying a pro to do it better than me. lol. hopefully i can simply maintain it for the summer. i'm happier under the car with a wrench anyway. Happiest when i'm in the drivers seat naturally.

Anyone else getting the mid winter blues?

It was -11 here this morning on the ride in to the office. Went up to 18 for the ride home so that was like a heat wave.

What he said i think u guys need to also we need some more ls1 cars down here to drive the ricers outta town. Coldest its been all winter there was like35 i believe usually highs are in the low 70's and no snow lmao

Someone's gotta stay up north and fight the good fight. couple years back the liberal party of NYS lost their spot on the ballot.... not enough people voting liberal...

FYI conservative party of NY still has their spot. Small victories.... small victories.

At least it's warmer than yesterday. I was back to my "leather jacket is enough to stay warm" self.

If it doesn't snow much i might even go visit the hawk and start it for a few minutes this weekend.... let the oil do it's thing, make sure the battery is holding up... check the garage for leaks... all that stuff.
