    Corvette Museum Raffling Camaro This Thursday 2/17/11

    The National Corvette Museum is holding a fundraising raffle for a 2011 Black Camaro SS/RS Coupe! The drawing will be held on Thursday, February 17 at 2pm CT. You don’t have to be present to win.

    Tickets can be purchased online with credit/debit card at www.corvettemuseum.org/raffle or by phone at 270-781-7973 or 800-538-3883 or in person at the Museum daily, 8am-5pm CT.

    The car has black leather interior, a LS3 – 6.2L V8 engine, 6-speed manual transmission, Hurst short-throw shifter, silver stripe package, power sunroof, 20” aluminum polished wheels, Boston Acoustic premium audio system, RS exterior package, OnStar service.

    The winner of the car will also get a certificate for a 3-day Bondurant High Performance Driving School. This school provides driver training on a race track in your choice of vehicle (Corvette Z06, Cadillac CTS, Cadillac CTS V, Pontiac Solstice, Police Package Tahoes and Impalas).

    What is the 28% of...the value of the prize? If so it doesn't list it so any idea what that would be?

    Yeah it'd be nice to know what they are saying the 28% is literally as I'm reluctant to buy a ticket for that reason without knowing HOW much you'd be paying to get it if you win.

    Any "winnings"...be it Las Vegas or raffles. You have to pay the tax on the amount/items won.

    I want to win a ZR1, but can't afford to pay the taxes up front. What happens if you opt to take the money? Do they just take the taxes out of that, or you have to pay first?

    I would assume you have to pay taxes upfront. Don't really know. But if you could get the title first and then apply for a title loan that would work.

    But seriously you don't have 25k laying around....pshsh
