being a 3D modeler and animator myself. I would definitely hire the creator of this video.

if he was able to generate the models and k-paths in about 5 days, then spend 110 days rendering, tweaking lights, particle effects, and paths on an octacore system, all by himself, the dude definitly shows talents...

3d studio max is a great choice and has tons of plug ins that allow for ease of creation.
