Contacts.........YAY!!

Well, I am here to give LS1.com a update on my contact experience. I finally after 2 trips to the doctor, was able to get them in. Now I can get them in within seconds but still struggle to get them out. I got Torics which the doctor told me were damn near identical to Acuvues (spell?) They don't bother my eyes but I still am getting use to them being in. I love them so far once I can get the taking out part down like putting them in. I will post pics of my ugly mug later after pics

Taking them out in 1000x easier than putting them in.

Whats your strengths btw? I mean the prescript.

I got -3.75 and -4. Soon as I hit 5 on either eye I am rolling in for lasic.

ive been wearing contacts since i was 11....all ive ever used is toric and never had a problem with them

But I'm worse then that I know

I find that putting them in is easier IMHO but I am a rookie at it still so with time I will get better

After I get use to them, can I sleep in them if I don't make a habit out of it. Lets say, like a day at a time

a doctor will tell you no, i havent taken my contacts out in over 3 years, only time i take them out is when i change them every 2 months and there supposed to be changed every month.....i havent had any problems but i think im lucky, if you do it once it wont hurt just try not to make a habit out of it

Gotcha

They did give me eye drops that if I was to sleep in them I would give them a squirt before bed. I'm going to practice taking them out for a few months every night like I am suppose to so I can get the hang of it before I sleep in them. Its good to know that I can do it sometimes if need be

Your prescription is on the contact boxes or vials, w/e they came in. Just read it.

Have you rubbed your eyes yet and made one fall out? Old habbits die hard.

I only have trials for this month. Have to go back in a week to actually order but if you must know

I think it is a -7 or some shit like that which isn't good but isn't blind yet

Haven't rubbed yet so can't comment on that.

Youre not supposed to have them in every night you are blocking oxygen to ur eyeballs

Gotcha! Getting ready to take them out in a hr and stay on the doctors start up plan. I can't wait til I get good at taking them out so I don't dread it.....

Yeah, that would actually be true if it were 1987...modern science has lead to advancements in contacts to the point they breathe just as much as not having a contact in. Porosity ftw!

I wore glasses since 3rd grade, that is until last summer when I switched to contacts. I couldn't get them in so the doctor put them in initially, I just kept working at it trying to get them in, and I got the hang of it after a week. I absolutely love them.. makes me really wish I ditched the glasses before high school.

I take mine out before bed...they'll probably breathe ok but they're drier than a coma patients cooter in the morning.

THIS.

I hardly ever take mine out. Usually only when I feel the need to change them out because they get dirty. I wear the Day & Night, which are supposed to be the best for breathing and allowing oxygen to the eye.

Also been wearing contacts forever and a day. I do own glasses as well and will wear them on occassion in the evening if I know I am just going to be chilling around the house. I never wear them out in public though. Me + glasses = disaster...

With different frames you would have looked way better with glasses. That is why I am so hesitant to go fulltime contacts. I wear glasses all the time unless I am doing sports.

They are both shitty pictures. I took them both and with a really old camcorder. I need to get better pics for sure but going back to glasses even after 5 hours in contacts SUCKS BALLS!!! Contacts FTMFW!! It took me 5 to 6 minutes a eye to get them out tonight but it went alright. My left eye is alot harder to get out for some reason because I have a harder time touching it
