Computer help please
I have Ad-Aware 6.0, and I have a trial on Nortons, recently my Ad-aware will not update and I can not get onto web sites i normally would go to, I can still get on them from my lap top, but it will not log me on, when i select for got password and have it emailed to my land computer I never get it. What do I need to find my problem even if it means I have to buy it I just need to know which one thanks......

this is to funny!
Sounds like your having a firewall problem. Make sure only your norton one is turned on and not the windows one or the other way around. I'm sure norton has created a rule that is blocking some connections. If you nose around in that area I'm sure you will see a blocking list and some stuff you like is listed. If it's all the porn sites then the content blocker is working.

Sorry thoguht it was a spoof of the last computer thread of the computer guy who couldnt log onto the internet. Why don t you try turning everything off, soyware,norton, firewall and check internet explorere settings. If you can connect turn each one back on until the problem happens and then you might know which program is the problem.

Ok I turned the window firewall off and I still have the same problem.

Did you turn off norton , also got to internet, tools,internet options and check your security levels. Turn them down to low instead of high or medium high anad see what happens.

Firewall, disable all your firewalls including windows, if you are using Zonelabs, and it shows it is not running go to the program directory of ZoneAlarm, start it up through the main EXE not short cut, then close it back it then you have internet back up

Also for some reason when I first got my computer with vista it had the security levels so high I couldnt do anything . Did you adjust them?
