Cingular Mobile Internet Question.

I'm going to be moving to a location where cable internet really isn't around yet. And, the local wireless provider doesn't reach to the location I'll be living. Anyways, I'm going to get a new laptop, and I thought it might be a cool option to add to it. But, I'm not sure the difference between the two options Cingular has. They have something call "Laptop Connect" and "Hi-Fi Connect". Do any of you guys know the difference between these two? Also, how well do they work...IE how quick, and do you loose signal at all? I assume that they hook up to the laptop via a PC Slot/expansion slot?

I do have one other option, and that's internet via my dish provider, which is Direct TV. Do any of you guys use this for your internet? Do you know the cost, and how well does that work? Also, do you need a new receiver? How does it hook up to the computer?

Well the wi-fi will let you surf at wi-fi spots or something like that. I actually work for Cingular & I don't even know, that's bad!!! I know if you get the wireless network card & the service, I think it is like $79.99 a month for unlimited, it will work anywhere a phone has service & you can surf the net. I think some HP's actually have Verizon cards built in them, but I think the Cingular service is better. I will have to check on what the difference is between the plans we have out there.
