    The GTR engine is hand assmebled in a hermetically-sealed lab. They don't want you making it look bad with a miss shift.

    Seriously though the fastest cars out there right now have twin clutch transmissions. Less and less performance cars are coming with a full manual option because of this. It's still tragic though.

    A side benefit of having a manual these days are there are much fewer ppl that can drive them. Meaning less thieves able to drive off. I've been seeing several stories of ppl getting their rides stolen but the thieves can't drive off.
