I'm not saying it's fake, but it would take all of about 2 hrs to throw some dust on a beat up car, put it in a trailer, throw some stickers on the windows and wrap the interior. Speedo? Yep, those can be made to read whatever also.

It has to be worth more than that...I sold my 89 Iroc with 179k back in '03 for that much. I'm thinking that 85 falls into the "it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it" category. I wouldn't buy it but i'm sure there's some weirdo third gen lover out there willing to shell out 15-20k for it.

I have the same thought on it. It seems fishy - but who knows.

Edit: &, if real, must be worth much more than $4K.

Nope I check several sites for cars value and all came up within a couple hundred dollars.

It is only as valuable as to how much someone is willing to pay. The 3rd Gen wasn't that popular and of those that were are a very select few like the Turbo Trans Am.

At auction - I'd bet that car would go for much more than $4K. (providing it is what it's being portrayed as)

There was pictures of that car in hot rod magazine awhile back, cant remember which issue but there was a story behind it, cant understand how something like that gets bought then forgot about. Weird.
