Camaro owners w/car seats

I was looking to see what experiences some of you have had with Car Seats. Didn't know if there are any tricks to the trade or if it is pretty simple to place one in the back.
The wife and I have been looking at them since our little one is due October 3rd. Something we are very close to purchasing. Nothing like Daddy's little girl ehh.

I had one of the little carriers when my boy was born and it fit pretty well in the back seat. You can't put the base back there but it fit in the hole real tight and the seatbelt held it down.

When you get a regular car seat you need to find one that has a narrow base so it will fit into the scoops of the seat. Some of them have pretty fat bases and they don't fit right.

I got a car seat with a base. But there is a car seat for new borns w/o a base and it fit well in the backseat.
