Camaro got wrecked

My wife was picking up my daughter from the babysitter and a mexican woman with no insurance or driver's license pretty much t-boned her.

No pictures yet, but the door panel is shattered, the rear quarter-panel is broke, the rear wheel is all fucked up, and when she went to move the car off the road it wouldn't go any direction and "something was making a lot of noise". I don't know if it's the transmission itself or maybe a broke rear end or driveshaft. It was already on the flatbed when I got there and I was more preoccupied with my daughter and wife and figuring out what happened to really look at it. (They are fine)

I'm guessing it's going to be totaled, its a 99 with 163K miles (long drives to work).

Anyone have any guesses on the value? I don't know how insurance companies figure that shit. I have USAA if it matters.

Oh, and they took the cunt to jail.

I dunno how much you'll get for it, most likely between 4-7k.

I had a friend get hit by an illegal mexican, just a fender bender, he said is alright I go okay, got in his truck and drove off, my friend chased him down, blocked him at a busy intersection and pulled him out of his truck and threw his ass on the ground and told him to stay there till the police arrive. Never got assault charges either.

glad to hear your family is OK but who are you going to sue for the value of the car, yourself? unless you had collision insurance on the car your done. and usually their is a deductible of 500 or 1000 dollars. all you will get is Kelly BB value. you can show your insurance company where cars go for more than BB value but with a 10 year old car and over 100,000 miles in sure that they will be very stingy with their money. you can sue the wetback in civil court but i doubt she will show(which means you win) and then you can attach her wages but she probably doesn't have a social security number to find her wage info. good luck!

Glad to hear there's at least *some* justice, and the illegal driver went to jail. I'd feel the same way regardless of citizenship status. No insurance = jail, IMO.

I agree I pay a ton for insurance and pepole like that are the reason why I say jail is good but then we pay to feed them and sh!t so I say death to them all

UM covers a max of $3500.00 damage to car, and bodily injury up to the limits of liability coverage.

Here in Ca. UM coverage only covers 3500.00 if the other driver is uninsured. You got hit, so the other person's ins will cover you car, of course....so your um covered the whole car or your deductible?
