BMW M6? (I lost)
Anyone know much about one of these? I spoke with the owner before semi racing him a few days ago. It's a nice car. The one he has is one of a kind, black cherry paint, tan leather and piano wood. He said he actually went to Germany and spoke with the group there that custom builds them. Here, they don't offer the option of ordering the way that they do there or something like that. It ended up costing him around $150k for it. It was a gorgeous car. I'm not a beemer guy, but that was nice.
When we left the gas station, we got to line up at a light. I asked him if he wanted to see what it had and he said yeah. There's a cop that sits close to where we were so I was hesitant on the launch anyway. It didn't look like he was taking off right away, so the launch was kinda lame. It was fast, when he took off, he took off. I'd have lost, but I think I could have hung with him for a little bit.
It's got a V10 in it?
Nice car and a really nice guy that was totally down to earth and to talk to him briefly, he really didn't put on the attitude that some european car drivers seem to have.
I don't know that I could see spending $150K on that car, but if I had it laying around, I'm sure that would be a pretty good way to spend it none-the-less.

damn nice car but its only a 12.5 second 1/4 bone stock. id sure as hell expect more for a 6 digit price tag, BUT they say if not governed it would run over 200mph

So was it in 400HP mode or 500HP mode?
Did he have the launch control on or off?
And if he somehow managed to figure out how to enable both 500HP mode and the launch control (how gay does that sound?), you would need an 11 second car that traps in the 120s to keep up.
^500HP would NOT put that brick of a sedan near the 200MPH mark...

ha ha, at the next light he was talking about a button for 400/500 hp. I thought he was bullshitting. that's funny.
If there is such a difference in it and he actually did run it as he said in 400hp, he'd of whooped my ass something fierce if it had been unleashed. It probably is a bit of a brick, but all I was getting was tail lights of that brick.
BTW, I'm cammed with stage 2 heads. I have no idea what I'm actually getting at the tires.

They did, and they bashed it for the iDrive BS. They did a 0-60 test. It took them something like 3 minutes for the 0-60. Funny clip - wish it could find it... And I can't see that streetfire vid here at work, but I don't need to. That car will NOT go 200MPH with its frontal area and power levels - period. And "evidence" in the form of a streetfire vid is anything but
