    blackSS01 - snowmobile chat inside

so, I'm about ready to get another snowmobile for the last month or so of this season........and here's what I'm looking at:

    08' or newer 700 Dragon
    '10 Rush
    '08 or newer F8

I've read several reviews on all of them, but nothing really seems to be 'universal'.............what's your take?

Funny. I'm in the same boat. I'm looking for my very first sled.

    I want either a 2010-11 Polaris Rush
    F6 or F8 Sno-Pro
    Ideally, a 2008+ Skidoo 800 Adrenaline MXZ

Cool - I sold my other sled last February when I knew there were no more trips planned for the year and we had a huge snow storm. We have a few trips planned for this year, and especially the one in February. We're going to the UP can't wait!

One thing I know for sure, I won't be buying a Ski-doo 'anything'.

If you go with a Rush, get a 2010 with the updates and save about $4,000 bucks. They're out there.

I know that there are some suspension upgrades - but need to check on the others.

I think I'll be staying away from the 800 series engines though, Rush, Dragon or not - I question their reliability.

Why no Ski-Doo? If I ever have a chance to keep my money in the USA, I'm going to do it. It's getting harder and harder to do these days, but not when you've got Polaris & Arctic Cat right in our back yards.

I hear ya. I'm not a fan of BRP but I love the looks and ride of their sleds. A Rush is definitely my first choice tho, but I would def want the upgrades. And 600 is my choice. I too have heard too many bad things about everyone's 800's. A 600 has plenty of power for anything I want to do.

There's some decent deals on Craig's, you just have to know what you're looking at.

    I'm leaning towards a Rush too - but I did see a 700 Dragon that I like, so, I guess we'll see.

Have u driven a Rush yet? I'm curious to know what its like. I was on a 98 skidoo 670 this last weekend and it felt like a death machine. Then hopped on my cousins 07 Skidoo 800HO Bilzzard and wow! That thing felt so great! The ride difference was absolutely night and day.

Well - that's not really fair to compare a '98 to an '07. The suspension technology has gotten just insane. Get on a '10 Rush - it will lay the smack down on that 800 in the trail. (but not in a straight line, obviously) Getting the weight off the front end is just huge with these.

Out of the sleds u listed, I like the rush. Problem with it is that it needs to have suspension tweaked to your weight and style of riding.

I wish I could afford the Rush with the tweaks, but my budget is ~$7k

Yamaha nytro! now thats a good sled. you burn less gas than a 2stroke don't burn oil i was burning less than 5 bucks or more at each fill up + whatever his oil costs where. lots of power good ride and don't have to worry about blowing up ur engine going for a ride

I know the Yamaha is a decent sled, but if I wouldn't buy a Canadian sled, why in the hell would I buy a Japanese one?? Yamaha isn't even a consideration for me.

If I want to go away from adding oil, I'd buy a Dragon turbo.

See above, I'll be staying away from the 800 Polaris's.....
