    Bittorrent software

My bitcomet software is pissing me off... what is everyone using now'a'days for torrents? I dont care about sorting or management, i just want the freakin thing to connect to as many people possible and get downloads in a few hours rather then weeks!

Tried that one, same problem... maybe its something else then.

I get MUCh slower speeds then anyone I know around here, even though bandwidth tests and internet downloads seem to be the same. Bittorrents however, are sloooooow and hardly make any connections. I even port forward direct to my computer and it doesnt help. when im using the software, my internet slows to like 14.4 dialup speed... after a random amount of time though, usually under and hour or two, aim drops me, and then i get no internet, and finally the torrents stop and i get no internet what so ever... and my router loses its address from the modem which stays steady transmit lit, even if all connections are stopped. you have to reset the router and modem to get a connection back.

    anyone?

I use utorrent, never had a problem.

For those that don't know what were talking about torrents are basically files. You need a progam to download them, its alot like kazaa, limewire, morpheus ect only better. Torrents alow you to d/l whole albums at a time or a whole discorphay(sp) of an artist instead of having to find every song on the album and d/l each one. Its the same with tv shows you can d/l whole seasons instead of just one at a time. At the same time you can just download one at a time if you choose. Its really like the greatest thing ever.

I second that. Used to use bitcomet and azureus, but figured I'd try utorrent and have not been dissapointed yet. As long as you use port forwarding you can get some pretty fast speeds.

i've tried ABC when i first started dl and it kept stopping in mid dl so i started using bittorrent if i remember right. i havent dl in awhile. but anyhow i used to have slow dl speeds cause i always manually selected as low of an upload speed as i could on it and as high of an dl speed as i could and eventually got slower and slower. i read up a little and found out that these clients eventually learn who upload hardly anything at all and block you from fast dl speeds. so i always select the option to automatically find bandwidth or maybe one way around the client learning your computer IP address, you could have your computer give itself a different IP address everytime you log on to the net (cant remember how but i know its possible) unless they have already put in there clients to only give long time knowing IP addresses to them the fast dl speeds.
like i said i havent dl in awhile so anyone correct me on this if im wrong.

I'm on comcast cable with a dash of google web accelerator using solid silver core cable about 20 ft. from the comcast junction box with a highly modified Vista Ultimate OS. Everything is at the speed of my eyes & brain (blistering)

The only thing better is the soon to be lazer connect by satellite which will be 100 times faster than comcast cable.

It is said to be so fast that everything that has ever been written and known for all and before time can be downloaded in 2 minutes.

    'nuff said.

i use bitcomet for movies/programs (i got cs3 pro for free, $800 program) lol

    I use limewire for music.

This is the next step from kazza, limewire, morphious, etc.
