    Big Rig Racing

I always find watching these videos very entertaining and exciting, being as i was a truck driver, over the road for 3 years. i dont truck anymore. but held on to my cdl as i believe when i get enough money ill buy a semi just as a hobby, as its kinda in my blood now. but here are some cool vids. i love the idle on these trucks. as you can get a mean idle when you put 1 1/2 inch diameter fuel lines to supply these huge motors. the more famous trucks ie the gold and maroon peterbilt, and the black kenworth with the flames are pushing over 2500hp, and even more torque.

this one is awesome just for the shear torque these things make...they are pulling 300,000lbs UP hill...pretty crazy

this one is fun because this 12k pound truck is handing out an ass whoopin

When I came into this thread I had two things in mind. Pikes Peak, and the crazy Europeans.

For the record...the flamed Kenworth is a Western Star, not a Kenworth.

We've got a '78 W900A with a very modified Cummins Big Cam IV in it. Twin turbos, mechanical variable valve timing, ceramic coated dome-top pistons, etc, etc. It's still being put together, but will be at well over 1000hp, and used regularly. We had it on the road several years ago with one turbo, less fuel, etc and it was at 800+hp. You couldn't see the back of the trailer from the smoke when you mash on it. It's spin through several gears with the power divider locked in. Shocked many a soccer mom when they'd try to get in front of us before their lane ended. Trucks are fun.
