One of my best friends come back from florida this morning. So after sleeping this morning we headed straight to the track. Not much on ricers but this car isnt rice what so ever. Plain jane everthing. No stereo.Meth Injection. Car isnt loud at all. Rear mounted battery.100 percent made by hand and scrap parts from the shop. Anyway this car was built from a dirt cheap roller civic and the engine from where he works for the honda stealership. He hasnt run the car till today because he doesnt want people knowing the times.

On the way there we lined up and at 70 he walked away all the way up to 135 when we let off..



Check fluids. 13.1 at 96mph. He saw the 8th mile lights come on and he got scared and slammed on the brake.
Next run. 20psi in tires killed it when he hit second and set there for a long time 16 seconds at 112 mph. Third run he turns up the boost to 15ish psi from 9-11 psi and he just about threw his STOCK clutch out... 22 seconds..

Plus.. the fact that he made everything from scrap parts. Very few new parts. Probably has 3 to 4k in it. Most expensive was the AN lines and the ECU/Carputer for it. hes got some indash that can instantly flash the ECU and show wideband, IAT, boost, fuel, speedo, gas consuption.... .. its a 6 speed

I couldnt give up my Trans Am because of the heritage, power, looks, points and all the history behind it. Im not concerned with speed all the time.

Whole point is to prove with time and knowledge and very little money you can build a very fast car that is an extreme sleeper.

Well shit, its a turbocharged K-series... thats like the holy grail of honda guys these days... those motors alone go for $3-5k usally... Hes only putting down 300hp? Hes must have a fairly small turbo or mild tune on it...

He puts a good clutch and some slicks on that thing, and it should be good for high 11's. (and I still think that HP number is on the low side... unless its a K24 maybe...)

Its a k24 and some used t3 turbo off eGay, said that there is all kinds of engines that people dont give a shit about when they do swaps. I know my dad got all kinds of free shit from the dealer so they would avoid paying taxes on shit during inventory.

Ahhh ok, that explains how he snagged the motor, the even hp/tq levels, and the (relative) lack of power...

Hmm - I'm not seeing 11's if his best trap is 112, especially if he does hook it up, that trap should drop a little.

And, I agree with another statement - nice ride on a small investment
