Dean's Blue Hole is the world's deepest blue hole (underwater sinkhole), which plunges 202 metres (663 ft) to the ocean floor, in a bay west of Clarence Town on Long Island, Bahamas.

it's definitly not one breath... same camera guy multiple takes... but it's entirely possible for someone to be able to hold their breath for 5 mins... someone did it on regis and kelly for 16 or 17 minutes or some shit...

i could make it to the bottom, eventually. i think its every 30 ft underwater is 1 atmosphere, so he's looking at 22 atmospheres. his ears are probably killing him, mine hurt at the bottom of the deep end at a pool.

To clarify: this movie is A FICTION AND AN ARTISTIC PROJECT. I don't claim to have reached the bottom of the hole (202m) without rope and fins, as the world record in no-fins discipline is 95m..
We made this movie to show another approach in freediving videos.
We wanted to express the strenght of the elements water-earth-air and the sensations of freedom, harmony, exploration

I knew that wasn't possible, if you come up to fast, you'll kill yourself. I forget the specifics but I think oxygen fills your blood stream if you rise too quickly...

nitrogen. the nitrogen forms bubbles in your blood and if you surface too quickly the bubbles will expand with the lower pressures and eventually burst. if one of those bubbles enters your heart or brain and bursts you will internally bleed to death...as i recall. someone correct me if i'm wrong though.
