ok, go to a homebrew store and buy a packet of champagne yeast for like 80 cents

get a water bottle like aquafina or some shit, fill it about a third of the way with sugar.

sprinkle some yeast on top of the sugar

fill the bottle till its about an inch from the top with lukewarm water.

drill a small hole in the lid and stuff a regular air hose all up in there.

run the air hose into your filter pump head, or think up some other clever way to diffuse bubbles into the water


the yeast makes carbon dioxide for like a month straight... just constantly bubbling... the carbon dioxide dissolves into the water and fertilizes the plants. i just started doing this and my plants are literally making little streams of oxygen bubbles streaming to the top of the water.

they are shit tons greener and lush and shit.
