I went to the apple store in Reno to get an iphone for
my wife for Christmas. Lip ring boy asks me how I want
to pay, I say cash. "I'm sorry, you can't buy the iphone
for cash, CC or debit or check only" he says. WTF!!
I don't want to use a cc and get in more debt.
Apparently, this comes from corporate Apple fuckers.
The "manager" told me that people were buying them
and selling them on ebay, so now they have this policy.
I think their stupid fuckin employees don't know how
give change for cash. I'll just spend my money somewhere else.
I was going to possibly get another one for myself, too.
I went to the AT@T store and bought a Tilt, I was
checking it out and it seems better then the ifuckphone.
Now, Apple can kiss my furry white ass!!

this is just another example of how our monetary system sucks and that corporate america won't stop until everything is paid with credit and everyone is tens of thousands of dollars in debt. fuck that shit.

Method of payment a business chooses is not governed by law.
Any cash payment could be handled with a debit card provided you have a bank account.
You don't pay your car payment in cash do you? Hell no, you write a check or buy a money order.
We are moving towards a cashless society.....been going that way for many years.

haha on that note i purchased an ipod touch with a debit card, the sales kid was very helpful, explained to me how to use it, got it wrapped it for me, and didnt even make me stand in line for it. i paid with the card right in the middle of the store. the whole transaction was a breeze.

Almost the same shit at Neiman Marcus. I went there to buy a gift for a girl and when I went to pay the girl said we only accept 3 things: Cashiers checks, Neiman credit cards or American Express. WTF? Well it was easy enough to open an account there and I was in no hurry anyway because the girls that work there are hot!!

True, but on the paper currency in the US it reads something to the effect of: Legal Tender For All Public And Private Debts.

I really don't see the problem. Use the credit card, hold on to the cash, pay off the balance on the credit card when payment comes due and enjoy the interest free loan. Financial leverage ftw.

I don't see how that can be done. I'd say the merchant was being either stupid or a jerk. Taking cash is even safer for the business then taking CC/DC/check. I don't see the logic in this on any level.

I would shit into a zoploc bag and then take it into the store and try to purchase the iphone. When they ask how you will be paying for it i will say with these three turds. Then dump them out on the counter. When he's like WTF? you just say what you guys don't accept turds? then act all confused and walk out and yell hey everyone the apple iphones aren't worth shit!
