Anyone know where the closest beach is...

From Lexington, KY?? We usually always go to Myrtle Beach, but I want to take the kids next weekend for an overnight (maybe 2 nights) stay. I was thinking it would be close between Virginia Beach, or Savanah Beach in GA. Any help?

I think VA will be your closest beach...Sav is further south then your probably going to want to drive too

Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Al is realy great. One of the few family beaches that doesn't get wreaked by the spring break crowds....I'd recommend coming here.....

i am an expert in this subject matter. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC. We are 8-9 hours from you. (I used to live in Lexington). Destin FL is 10 hours. Savannah is past Myrtle and will take you longer. My family owns a condo in Destin that we rent out. Let me know if you are interested. Now is not a good time to come to Myrtle due to all the fires!!

according to google maps, VB and Savannah beach are both about 9hrs or 600miles from you. just drive up to cleveland and fish from lake eerie, lol

thats about the closest one man we go there about every year, its not worth a 2 day trip it should take you about 12 hours and thats hauling ass

Thanks guys. My 4yr old has been bugging the hell out of me to see the ocean. So, I'm going to take him. We're going to Myrtle Beach sometime this summer for a week, but this trip will be a quickie.
