Anyone have a counter-top deep fryer?
I'm tired of having uncrispy fries, mushy chicken nuggets, and not being able to get the bulk packs of shrimp. So for those that have a counter-top deep fryer, where did you get yours and how much was it? Also, what type of oil do you use for nuggets and fries?

I have one that is called a "fry daddy". I wish I'd gotten one like the one in the link. Not having a lid means huge clean ups from splashes from bubbles when frying.

I got a 'Sunbeam' brand one at Linens and Things. Lots of good shit in those stores. It even has a lid for hassle free cleanup!!!

Definatly get one with a flip open lid and one that has a basket in it. The fry daddy's suck because it doesn't have a lid that closes when you use it and it comes with a frickin spoon to scoop your food outta the oil with.
I use either canola oil or peanut oil.

There's different kinds of fats...some are worse for you then others. If you put animal lard in there then yea that's really bad for you but tastes good....i'm pretty sure oils like canola and peanut are unsaturated fats and aren't as bad for you and it still tastes good and fries the food good .
