Anyone dealt with GM Parts Direct?

I'm looking to buy a heavy duty timing set from them but they want $50 to ship it up two states. Ground. I know I'm getting it for much cheaper than other places but for the amount it comes to, it's literally a few dollars less than going to the dealer. Anyone payed this high shipping?

yes.. the shipping is rather outrageous. they wanted a ridiculous amount for the intake for my truck, but i couldn't find it elsewhere for cheaper. I should have just drive the 1.5 hrs to pick it up. Flow Chevrolet in Winston-Salem NC runs this site. They have a massive parts dept.

I noticed that too when I was looking to buy a Hotcam. They had a really low price, like 175$ but then wanted 43$ for shipping..........for a CAMSHAFT. It isn't big or heavy for fucks sake. Maybe you can see if a local dealership will match the internet price.

I ordered some window felt seals from them awhile back and it took forever to get them like 2 months and they it was a bitch to get ahold of them to ask "What the fuck?"

I may be wrong but I don't think it will work that way. Internet prices and the price you pay at the parts counter won't be the same. They are about 20 minutes away for me. I wish it would work like that, low price and no shipping!
    Best of both worlds

I had problems with them. They said my card was declined, yet they charged it anyways and wouldn't ship me parts because they said it was declined. Had to deal with them on the phone and they were 110% dicks every time

From my 1 experience dealing with them, I'll echo the tune of that thread.

Bottom line: You get what you pay for.

I will never give them my business again.

Click the "Sponsors" link at the top of the page. They are a sponsor if they are listed there.
