Anybody ever heard of doing this?
I was at work today, found out you can fix a CD that skips by wet-sanding it and buffing it. At first I thought he was bullshitting me, but I'll be damned if it didn't fix the CD. I thought it was pretty cool, had no idea you could do that.

That's what those CD repair kits are supposed to do.
The media is etched on the metallic film of the CD, not the plastic that protects it. Get the scratches out and the laser can reflect without bouncing all over the place.

Yeah...all those CD repair kits, like the CD Doctor piece of shit, all they ever did was make the CD's even worse lol.
I guess thinking about what sanding and buffing the CD is actually doing it makes sense.

I heard once that if you through them in the toilet and flush it fixes it. Never tried it though.
But wheneve I tell people that they just laugh at me.

Toothpaste with baking soda does the same thing, but cheaper. I use toothpaste on all my CDs, it works like charm.
