Another "miss my f-body" thread
So my fiancee's alternator took a crap Saturday. Sunday morning I picked up a reman'd with a warranty and headed home to handle the task. Well, I opened the garage door and shed light on my very peacefully slumbering Z28. I had to move her out to get the woman's Beretta in the garage.
I put the key in, turned her over and immediately was taken back to those summer days. I let her warm up and then backed her out of her winter home and into the street.
Could I just park it and continue on my merry way. No. It was too tempting. I just took her to the end of the street and back. No harm, right? I romped on it a little bit. In fact, I was sideways until I had to shift to 2nd. Damn I've missed that.
I got the alternator swap done and put the Z back in the garage. No harm no foul. But I'm really needing the summer to come back. I miss it

I sold my F-Body in June of 1993 and I miss her, what one will do when a baby is coming. It was a 1970 Formula Firebird, swapped in a 455 .30 over, Holley 750, Schneider cam, Holley intake, Turbo 400, subframes and 3:55s.

Fixed the infamous LT1 intake manifold leak Saturday; left the throttle body off so I won't be tempted to drive her.
She is more than a little pi**ed about it, and tells me so every time I go into the garage.
Sigh.

resist the temptation if its night time and real cold out. theres ice u dont see. i skidded in the stang and jumped a curb. somehow only messed the edge of a shitty 10 hole ford wheel. needless to say my car was crying and so was i and i spent over an hour apologizing. shes promised something good when the weather gets better.
