ACN MLM scam

Some poor stupid kid i used to work with at my gym got sucked into this shit. Anybody ever hear of it, or have an experience with it? Hes convinced hes gonna make a million dollars and do 2 chicks at the same time with this "business opportunity" of his. Yet all hes done so far is spend money, hasnt actually made any money at all. already spent 700 bucks yet he wants to " let me in" on his enterprising venture.

specifics: ACN tellecommunications, MLM (pyramid scheme), $499 to buy into it

lol yeah I was given the 'opportunity' to participate in one of those things a few years back in my first year of college.

I went to the seminar and everything and this tool with a Patrick Bateman shirt and massive diamond ring was telling how many houses and cars he has while saying nothing specific about the 'opportunity' itself.

It didn't take me long to realize what it was and then I was like

I have a good friend that I've known for a very long time that makes really great money (6 figures) from various businesses like that.

His current thing is making him a shit load of money. I'm involved and I have made some money and saved some money and I haven't really tried. (no, I'm not trying to sell it here, I'm just stating this as an observation).

There are legitimate things out there - most of them are not.
