At least after spending all that time and $$ he can be proud he still has the craptastic TPI 350, which is admittedly prettier than an LS1.

TPI was great back in 19** (numbers removed to prevent copyright infringement) and so was Billy Ocean and The Miami Sound Machine.

Overall, that looks a bit better than a C5 actually.

Oh yeah, forgot to add the biggest selling point of those era Corvettes. The wonky Disco Inferno dashboard.

IDK about that, I can get a C4 with 350 TPI for $4,000 or below if I look. I can get the entire C5 Conversion kit for $850 shipped to my door. Paint, well there's great deals on having an entire car painted.

Also, the 350 TPI, well great block to bore and stroke. From what I read, better engine to build up then an LT1.

Lt1 head selection is a little more limited but overall it's about the same in the end other than the badass reverse flow cooling that let's you run more compression. You can run a carb and regular distributer on either..

Well from what read and talking to local builders. The 350 TPI, is a thicker/stronger block also. But you are right, can get a higher compresion with the LT1.

They're running tons of power through 408 ltx motors all day. Sbc is worth maybe 800 at best on a stock block.
