you know that commercial where the guy says "i'm a mac, and I can talk with anything no problem" yeah well FUCK YOU apple and a big FUCK YOU TOO to Iomega for providing me with the worst burning software available...fuckin pricks....

That is brutal.
I use double sided DVD's with a 8.5gig capacity.
It *ahem* backs up my DVD'd with no compression in other words exact copies of the original.
Muhahahahahaha!

It's probably the CPU time being spent to compress raw footage down to what will fit on a DVD.

yes steve, it is definatly shotty software. I called a mac-fix-it hotline and a guy directed me to download some cute little freeware called "patchburn" which let me mount the DVD R to my desktop instead of having to use some shitty software. The issue that was realy REALLY pissing me off was that b/c i didn't have 4gigs of HD space available to make a disc mirror-I had to send a bunch of data across our network to a PC that had an internal DVD....that took about 4 hours right there. So i was pretty steamed

Using DVDCLone2, or DVDFAB platnium, i can make a full copy with no downgrading in about 18 mins:-p
