3000GT m5, anyone ever work on them?

my brother has a '94 3000GT SL, manual 5 speed. FWD non turbo.

I have not seen the issue he is having, but he keeps calling me for advice.

    the issue:
the master clyinder line for the clutch, is a rigid brake line with two end fittings. (not sure of the end fitting(s) size)

he has to replace this line, and I guess its a pain to bend and install. Is their any available pre-bent rigid lines or steel-braided flex lines that will work for this instead of having to fab one up?

any ideas, before i have to go fix his car for him??
btw he has posted on 3000gt forums, not much help

thanks (not really the way i wanted to start the new year) lol

Braided steel line $29.99. I don't think your bro knows what hes talking about as I doubt they used rigid steel line for a clutch master line.

Yeah, that sounds fishy, maybe the braided lines on his car are so old and crappy they just seem stiff and ridgid as if prebent or something, because I've never seen solid hydraulic lines.

Only on an S10 pickup where the solid line vibrated and wore through.

A clutch line is usually flexible to allow the motor/trans to move independent of the clutch master cylinder.

    Get the braided stainless line.

My Rx7 had a rubber clutch line from the factory. When I replaced it with the stainless the clutch "feel" improved dramatically due to the line not expanding.

The way I read it, it looked like he meant hydraulic lines in general.

thanks dude, sadly thats the slave line on passenger side of the car.

It come out of the slave and mounts to bracket, then attaches to a rigid hydraulic line that follows the firewall to the master by the clutch pedal..

its a fucked up setup. a direct path from the slave to the master is about 4ft, but because of having to route the rigid line, its about 6 ft.

    damn imports.

I've never owned any vehicle where the makers would be so fucking cheap and retarded to put solid lines on it. That's what I meant. Shit even my quad has braided stainless brake lines and clutch lines.
