Black as black can be- 2001 Trans Am WS6
how was that 228?...I was thinking about a cam next, I just installed long tubes, spec clutch, and D&D built tranny....before I just had slp lid,msd plug wires. and a hooker muffler...I got 3:42's stock and alum driveshaft....car ran 13.08 b4 tranny was built, the long tubes, catless y-pipe and spec clutch....It has a lot more power now it never spun b4 and now it spins when im in 2nd goin 30mph and hit it.....my 01 stock cam is same as the 6.0 ltr truck cam....only like .470 lift and 198 duration, but us 01 and 02 cars have the LS6 intake and the 6.0 truck cam it made a way more bottom end power than 98-00 LS1's...I was thinking a 224 cam was the biggest I would go with, I mean I got such a small cam that even a .525 lift cam with 218 duration should make a huge difference right?....I know the 405hp 2002 Z06 had a 550 lift and 218 duration or something like that....what do you think would be a good cam for me having 110,000mi?...engine dont smoke at all, carfax shows previous owner had it serviced every 2 month for 7 years...no wrecks no engine work....I bought it with factory cats, muffler, exhaust, air lid everything.....I was thinking a .550 lift cam with around 220-224 duration and I need some kind of traction setup...are them lakewood traction action bars any good?

EIther the 224 or the 228R. I'd go with the 228R myself

okay....I had my first race with my new mods today and won, the guy has a 98 WS6 everything I have and tune and a 75 shot....I beat him both runs from 30mph both us in 2nd gear...he's got to be the 30th person to tell me my car has something else done to it in the heads or something...both races I pulled half car on him through 2nd,3rd,4th, then we let off it seems close....what about the lakewood traction action bars?....I want to take off around 3000rpm and not spin, I have a feelin its gonna spin bad now...the headers and catless y pipe woke this thing up...I got a Z06(LS6) block from factory and the #241 heads, and Z06(LS6) intake stock...I didnt spin before, now it wheel hops and just makes my whole car pound like its comin off the road 2 feet high or somethin with it in second even??????????...that WS6 I raced runs 12.20's

Good set of rear shocks and LCAs will help out a lot with the wheel hop

I was told by people on LS1tech.com that the suspension in the 01-02 WS6 models are setup better for drag racing and road handling than any suspension setup aftermarket could offer, and to stay with what I have...what is a cal trac? oh and whats LCA's sorry...im used to older cars and dont have many computer skills at all I quit college about halfway through

The rear lower control arms. The 01 and 02s carry the same rear suspension set up that GM gave the F bodies in 1982 when the Third Gen debuted

If you don't plan on racing it a lot a used 12 bolt would be a good budget upgrade
