Part of me is disappointed that it's not being called the Z28. But, at the same time, I'm glad they didn't call it that just in case this one tanks.

6.2 SC V8... that shouldn't suck...

So... What is 'active exhaust'...? And suspension with 'magnetic ride'? Does that mean that it uses that fluid that responds to magnetic fields (can't remember the term)?

Engine sounds like a beast. And I'm pretty sure the magnetic ride suspension is the same one from the Corvette ZR1.

Hopefully the Z28 comes back as a lightweight track car like the Boss. I'm not holding my breath though.

active exhaust is like what is on the C6's... basically truns the muffler in to a straight pipe...

yeah... i don't see that happening ever again... that is unless ford starts it off so every other company can follow (just like the retro fad that they started)...

Ford is releasing the Boss next year. More power, lighter and they spent a lot of time track testing it. If GM is smart they will respond to it.

I like it, to bad its going to probably be in the 50k range.

Exhaust – ZL1 is equipped with a dual-mode exhaust system, which alters the sound level and character in response to engine rpm. First used on the legendary Corvette, and specifically tuned for Camaro ZL1, the dual-mode exhaust will give the car a signature sound.

yeah... their responce more than likely is the zl1... GM doesn't have a mind of it's own anymore... they just copy what ever trend is current...

I think it's bad ass, I personally don't like vettes. I like the fact they called it a ZL1 too. It's about time they released something on this car. 50k would be a right on since that's where the GT500 is at. Much more and they'll be making ford even richer.

Apparently those sneaky bastards at GM showed us a preview of this car two years ago. Is it just me, or does the bumper on the Camaro from Transformers 2 look very similar to the ZL1 bumper?

Not too bad at all. The GT500 has now met it's competition depending on how drastic the weight difference is between the two. Only bad thing will probably be the price. I bet it's going to be very expensive.

I find anyone buying the gen v camaro idiots..even the zl1 or we...the gen VI is around the corner..2 to 3 years away..lighter and faster....expect the rpo z28 to be an option then

it should meet or exceed the gt500's performance. the cs-v coupe runs around 12.3 bone stock and the zl1 should be a little faster.
