2010 Ford Taurus SHO

So, my brother just informed me that my father, who works for Ford, had just told him about the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO.

Honestly, I really like the new version of the Taurus. I saw it at the 2009 NAIAS, but they did not have a SHO version.

Here are a few pics. What do you guys think?

EDIT: This car is $38k, and has AWD...think they'd make something that'd actually beat their famed Mustang GT?

looks nice and i'm jealous that ford is coming out with more performance vehicles while gm is nixing their lines...but i still refuse to drive a ford.

That's wierd...making a Taurus to beat the Mustang. Unless that factory supercharger setup is still gonna keep the car under $38k..

I bought a new SHO in '95.

That was a terrific car. 2nd best combination of performance and economy that I've ever had. Traded it for the best combination I ever had, my MKVIII LSC.

Third is my SS. The SS is way faster than either of those were but it will only pull high 25, low 26 on the highway (A4).

The SHO and MKVIII were both autos and could hit 30.

If that car actually comes out, I'd buy that in a second over the Hemi Charger or 300.

But then, I have sworn to myself to never again buy another brand new car. The depreciation is too much of a killer.

edit: Just looked at the front end again.

Does it look an awful lot like the current generation EVO to anyone else?

Yep. It does look like an Evo X in a way. So does the new VW CC Gold Coast Concept. Angular looks must be the "in" thing these days.

what is it with ford making everythign AWD? I guess that's the only way they can sell things as "safe" sorry. for $40k I can get a G8 GXP, Camaro or Challenger.

REMEMBER, some of those Fords are reskinned Volvos. I don't know if that SHO is an S60R?

whats wrong with buying a sedan you can actually drive in the snow in the winter? The reasons you'd even buy this car are reasons why you arent cross shopping a camaro or challenger either.

i had a 96 mark viii lsc,freakin awesome car,miss that one.fully loaded,black on black,with the chrome wheels,badass!

Sounds a lot like mine except I had the Dove gray interior.

I'd likely still have that car if it hadn't been so darn BIG.

I remember my surprise when I parked it in the garage and it was a good foot longer than my wife's SUV.
