2007 YUKON SLT Opinions before buying
I am looking at buying a 2007 yukon SLT. Let me know the good the bad and the ugly before I pull the triger.

Has the intake gasket ever been changed?

Do you like shitty gas mileage?
Do you need the space of the yukon?
Intake gaskets can be an issue on any dexcool-GM, if you ask the right person.

Intake gaskets are not an issue to arise often on the LS based Vortecs. I'd worry more about oil leaks. Pan gasket is common and valley cover which can lead to collapsed afm lifters

For the wife. She drives on average 100 miles per week. Not that worried about mileage.

I've seen it on my '03 Chevy 6.0 liter work truck. It happened at about 85K miles. My buddy who runs an auto repair shop said it's common at about that mileage. Originally Posted by GTP231

My friend has 235000 on his 02' 5.3 Suburban, we changed the plugs and shocks a few weeks ago. Touched nothing else other than fluids and filters since new.
